Sample answer:
                  I have a secretary who has a plan of my day in a computer application. She also copies this
                  into my palmtop, so that I can check my schedule for the day wherever I am. My secretary also
                  reminds me of my appointments for the next day before I leave the office.







               1.  You want to request for an appointment with the representative of a very
                  big company. However, you have been told that it’s not so easy to make one
                  because of certain requirements. Pretend that you are talking to the com-
                  pany secretary. Ask for the requirements in setting an appointment.


                  Sample answer:
                  Hello! Good morning! I’m Jane and I’m the sector chief of Silver Line Corporation in Song-soo.
                  My company is very interested to present our products to your company representative. I have
                  heard that you have certain requirements for such presentations. May I know what these re-
                  quirements are, so that I can prepare them? Silver Line is really interested to pursue business
                  with your company.

               2.  Your  request  for  an  appointment  with  an  important  potential  client  has
                  been granted. You call his secretary and you give the information below. Ex-
                  press gratitude for being given the opportunity to meet with the client. In
                  addition, inform the secretary that you will adjust to the availability of your
                  client.


                 a. Objectives: to present the full line of products that your company offers
                  to discuss possible business relations
                 b. The whole presentation will take around 30 minutes.

                  Sample answer:
                  Hello! Good morning! This is Jane of Silver Line Corporation. I’m so glad to learn that my re-
                  quest for an appointment has been granted. Please inform Mr. Cooper that we really appreci-
                  ate this opportunity and we will not waste his time. Please inform him that our objectives for
                  the meeting are to present the full line of products that Silver Line has. We also want to discuss
                  possible business relations with your company. These two points are the agenda of our meet-
                  ing, but of course, Mr. Cooper may add other points which he deem relevant. Our presentation
                  will take thirty minutes. The remaining time can be used for the discussion of other points. We
                  will adjust to Mr. Cooper’s schedule. Just inform us of the date, time, and venue of the meeting.
