                  I begin my request for re-schedule by first apologizing for any possible inconvenience that I
                  might be causing my client. Then, I give my honest reasons for the re-schedule request. I also
                  adjust to the availability of the client.






               1.  You have set a meeting with your company staff in a different area. This meet-
                  ing required you to make travel plans and adjust your other appointments
                  within the week. However, you were told that the meeting is re-scheduled
                  on another date. Unfortunately, you can’t make it on that date because of
                  the reasons below. Request for a re-scheduling of appointment and suggest
                  a date when you are available.

                  Sample answer:
                  Hello! This is Tanya of Silver Line Corporation. I was supposed to have a meeting with the mar-
                  keting staff on September 25. However, I’ve been told that this meeting has been re-scheduled
                  to October 2. I’m sorry, but I cannot make it on the new meeting date. I have carefully set my
                  appointments to make way for the September 25 meeting. I have set these appointments on
                  the week after, that’s why my first week of October is full. I have tried re-scheduling these ap-
                  pointments, but my clients won’t budge. I have to understand their situations too. Besides, I
                  have to make new travel arrangements and unfortunately, all flights to Yosha are fully booked
                  because of a convention in that area during that time. I am now requesting for another re-
                  scheduling of meeting. I am available on the third week of October. Please inform the members
                  of the marketing staff, so that they can choose a particular date. Please inform me of the date
                  for this new meeting. Thanks for understanding!

               2.  You have to postpone an appointment tomorrow with an important client
                  because of the important reasons below. Do this in a polite manner. In clos-
                  ing, express your desire to set another appointment.

                  Sample answer:
                  Hello! This is Tanya of Silver Line Corporation. I have set an appointment with Mr. Cooper for
                  tomorrow, but I don’t think I can possibly make it. I’ll be traveling from Rangoon and my flight
                  to Hong Kong has been delayed due to bad weather. The airlines is not sure when flights will re-
                  sume. We have to wait for the weather to improve. According to the weather news, the weather
                  will not improve any time soon because of an approaching storm. This means that the one-day
                  hotel reservation I made in Hong Kong may have been given up. It was the only available slot
                  due to a convention in the place. I have to settle my accommodations first before attending
                  the meeting. I have several samples of our company products here and they have to be placed
                  in a secure place before I get off to any meeting. I hope Mr. Cooper will understand my situa-
                  tion. It’s really out of my control. I will be fine in a day or two. I hope Mr. Cooper will be able to
                  accommodate me in his busy schedule.
