CASA Bulletin of Anesthesiology
Hong Kong trained Specialist Anaesthesiogists can only work in Hong Kong. However,
a number of trainees would go on to sit for the Australian and New Zealand College of
Anaesthetists examination and go overseas to work after obtaining FANZCA.
Since the return of Hong Kong to China in 1997, more opportunities are opened to Hong
Kong doctors to work in China. One example is that doctors employed by the Hong Kong
University can obtain limited registration and work at the University of Hong Kong Shenzhen
Hospital. Hong Kong is a Special Administration Region of China and closer collaboration is
expected in the future.
