Çré Vraja-réti-cintämaëi

            To the east is Däna-nivartana-kuëòa. When Çré Rädhikä's handsome
            beloved remembers it, He begins to tremble, and the hairs on His
            body stand erect.



                                         Text 17

                                tato 'pi pürve para-räsa-lélä-
                                 valé-sthalé çäöi-baléyasé yä
                              småtäpi täà taà naöayaty akaëòe
                              svéye rase candra-sarovaraà ca


               tataù—of this; api—also; pürve—to the east; para—Rädhä; räsa—räsa-
               dance;  lélä—of pastimes;  avalé—of  a host;  sthalé—the  place;  ça—that;
               ati—very; baléyasi—full of transcendental potencies; yä—which; småta—
               remembered; api—even; tam—her; tam—Him; naöayati—cause to dance;
               akaëòe—suddenly; sviye—in Their own; rase—transcendental mellows;
               candra-sarovaram—Candra—sarovara; ca—and.

            To the east of that is Candra-sarovara, where the divine couple
            enjoyed many räsa-dances. The memory of this place makes Them
            dance in ecstatic love.

                              govardhana-präg-diçi dakñiëäàçe
                              saìkarñaëänanda-sarovaraà tat
                               tat-pürvato räjati tac ca gauré-
                              térthaà na gauré-pätir eti yat tu


               govardhana—of Govardhana Hill; präk-diçi—to the east; dakñiëa—
               in   the  southern;  amse—part;  saìkarçana-änanda-sarovaram—
               Saìkarçananända-sarovara; tat—that; tat—of that; pürvataù—to the
               east; räjati—is splendidly manifest; tat—that; ca—also; gauré-tértham—
               Gauri—tirtha; na—not; gauré—of gauré; pätiù—the husband; eti—goes;
               yat—to which; tu—indeed.

            Southeast of Govardhana Hill is Saìksarñaëänanda-sarovara, and
            to the east of that is Gauré-tértha, which is scrupulously avoided by
            Gauré's husband, Lord Çiva.
