On the Mänasa-gaìgä's shores are many mädhavé-vine pavilions
with nectar beauty that shines in the three worlds. There the divine
couple enjoys splendid pastimes that are eternally remembered in
the world's hearts.

jala-sthala-sthaiù kusumair asémaiù
saran-marandaiù kusumäkaräkhyaù
padmäkaro räjati kuïja-puïjair
giréndra-varyänanam eva kim saù
jala—of water; sthala—place; sthaiù—situated; kusumaiù—with flowers;
asémaiù—without limit; çarat—trickling; marandaiù—nectar; kusuma—
flowers; äkara—form; akhyaù—named; padmäkaraù—lake; räjati—is
splendidly manifested; kuïja-puïjaiù—with many groves; giré-indra—of
Govardhana, the king of mountains; varya—excellent; ananam—face;
eva—certainly; kim—is it?; saù—this.
With its nearby forest groves and the limitless nectar-trickling
flowers in its waters, Kusuma-sarovara shines with great splendor.
Is it the handsome face of Govardhana Hill, the king of mountains?

çré-närado yatra babhüva gopé
snänaika-mäträd iti mohanoktiù
gopé—gopé; svarüpa—form; apti—attainment; para—best; prasüna—
flowers; praphullatäyai—for blossoming; kusumäkaraù—Kusuma sarovara;
ayam—this; çré-näradaù—Närada Muni; yatra—where; babhüva—
became; gopé—a gopé; snäna—by bathing; eka—once; mäträt—only;
iti—thus; mohana—of the charming Supreme Personality of Godhead;
uktiù—the statement.
This lake is known as kusuma-sarovara because of the many
blossoming flowers, destined to become gopés in the future, that
