Painting operation
1. Painting process
a. Damage confirmation
Clean the damaged position and confirm the extent of damage, to define the repair method.
b. Grind the feathery edge.
Grind a slope at the connection of the damaged position and the surrounding paint film, to ensure a better
jointing between the new paint and the original paint surface.
c. Apply the epoxy primer.
Clean and degrease the grinded surface again clean, and apply and dry the epoxy primer for anti-rust
treatment.
d. Apply the atomic putty.
Slightly grind and degrease the damaged position applied with the epoxy primer, apply the atomic putty, grind
it and confirm the stamping line.
e. Apply the intermediate paint.
Clean and degrease the surface applied with the atomic putty, apply and dry the intermediate paint; during the
process, do not carry out the reverse adhesive protection on the position that is not required for coating.
f. Grind the intermediate paint.
Grind the intermediate paint to the same height with the original paint, to confirm the flatness.
g. Mix the paint.
Due to long-term use of the vehicle, there is difference between the topcoat color and the original paint color,
so the painting personnel should mix manually the paint.
h. Apply the topcoat.
Fill the mixed topcoat into the spray gun tank, adjust the pressure, spray flow and spray width of the spray gun,
to spray the topcoat evenly on the sheet metal part. There should be different spray processes for difference
topcoat.
i. Polishing.
Repair and brighten the topcoat with some flawless.
