System description: IN

ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) uses wheel speed sensors to monitor the wheel speeds and send the speed
signals to the control module. The control module increases or decreases the braking pressure applied on DI
the wheel repeatedly according to the input wheel speeds, to control the wheel slip rates and keep the wheels

rotate; it maintains the braking of the wheels while prevent the wheels from being locked and still enable

the wheels to be steerable. Therefore, the braking and steering stabilities can be assured to avoid slip or

deviation.

Signal input

The battery power supply current flows through the fuses F\L3 and F\L4 in the vehicle frame fuse box, and
individually through the fuses F05 and F02 in the instrument panel fuse box. On pass of current flows to the AX
pin 8 of the ABS ECU module B063, providing power for the solenoid valve in the ABS ECU module and the
motor; another pass of current goes through the pin 30 of IG1 relay R10and fuse F14, to the pin 7 of the ABS

ECU module B063, providing power for each wheel speed sensor of the ABS ECU module.

Wheel speed signal
ST
The wheel speed signal is AC signal, and comes from each of the four wheel speed sensors, i.e., the left the

front wheel speed sensor, right front wheel speed sensor, left rear wheel speed sensor and right rear wheel

speed sensor.

Service brake signal

Step on the brake pedal. The ABS ECU module accepts brake control signal sent from the engine ECU
through the CAN communication system and outputs service brake signal.

ABS failure warning lamp signal

The ABS failure warning signal is send through k wires to the combination instrument.
