Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the circuit between the multi-function combination switch and the radio

a. Ignition switch:LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector B029 of multi-function combination switch.
c. Disconnect the connector B043 of radio cassette player.

d. Measure the resistances between No.10 terminal of multi
-functional combination switch connector B029 and No A1
terminal of radio cassette player connector B043 with a
multimeter at its resistance position
Standard resistance:

Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value

B029(10)-B043(A1) About 0Ω

Check if the result is ok?

Yes>go to Step 2.
No> Check the open-circuit fault of harness between multi-function combination switch and radio.
2. Check the multi-function combination switch

a. Ignition switch:LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector B029 of multi -functional combination switch

c. Take a multimeter to measure the resistance of the No. 10
and No. 11 terminals of the multi -functional combination
switch connector B029.
Standard resistance:

Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value

B029(10)-B029(11) About 0Ω

Check if the result is ok?

Yes>go to Step 3.
NO>replace the multi -functional combination switch.
