DI - 240 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

Failure phenomenon Phenomenon description
Ignition switch is in the "ON" gear, regardless of that whether the light combination
Two side high beams always on
switch is placed in the "high beam" gear, both sides of the high beams are normally on.
Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the high beam relay

a. Ignition switch:LOCK.
b. Disconnect the relay R14 of high beam lamp and check the conduction with a multimeter.

c. Measure the conduction between No. 30 and 87a
terminals of relay R14 of high beam with a multimeter
Standard resistance:

Storage battery voltage Standard value

Do not apply voltage on relay 85
About 0Ω
and Terminal 86

d. Measure the conduction between No.30 and 87 terminals
of high beam relay R14 with a multimeter
Standard resistance:

Storage battery voltage Standard value

Battery positive pole connecting to
Terminal 85 and negative pole About 0Ω
connecting to Terminal 86

Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 2.
NO>repair or replace the high beam relay

2. Check the light combination switch
a. Ignition switch:LOCK.

b. Disconnect the connector B034 of light combination switch
c. Light combination switch is not in the "high beam" gear.
