DIAGNOSIS-REVERSING RADAR 62-83
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
1. General
After the ultrasonic wave is sent to the object, a group of reflected wave will return
to the reversing radar sensor. The radar controller utilizes the interval time between
the transmitted wave and the reflected wave, measures the distance and reminds 62
the driver that there is an obstacle in the back.
2. Component Function
Component Function
• Detect the distance between the vehicle and the
Reversing radar
obstacle.
• Inform the driver with buzzing according to the
Interval buzzer (within combination meter)
distance to the obstacle.
• udge the approximately distance between vehicle
Body controller and obstacle according to the signal from ultrasonic
wave sensor.
3. Self-inspection function of reversing radar sensor
(a). Turn ignition switch to "ON".
(b). Engage the reverse gear, the reversing radar sensor will perform self-inspection.
• If the reversing radar sensor functions well, the buzzer will buzz once for 0.5s with
the interval of 0.5s.
• If the function of one reversing radar sensor is abnormal, the buzzer will buzz
twice for 0.5s with the interval of 0.5s.
• If the function of two reversing radar sensors is abnormal, the buzzer will buzz
three times for 0.5s with the interval of 0.5s.
