3. Check the harness and the connector (rear window defroster relay-rear window
defrosting)

(a). Ignition switch:"LOCK".
(b). Pull out the rear window defroster relay R01.
(c). Disconnect the rear window defroster connector M08.

(d). Measure the resistance between the No.1
pins of R01 and M08 with the multimeter
on the resistance range.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
R01(30) - M08(1) ＜ 2 Ω
Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 4.
No >Repair or replace the harness.

4. Check the harness and the connector (rear window defrosting-grounding)

(a). Ignition switch:"LOCK".
(b). Disconnect the rear window defroster connector M09.

(c). Measure the resistance between the rear
window defroster connector M09 and
the grounding with the multimeter on the
resistance range.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
M09(1) -Grounding ＜ 2 Ω
Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 5.
No >Repair or replace the harness.
