DIAGNOSIS-LIGHTING SYSTEM 62-351

Symptom description：
Whether or not pressing the switch of rear fog lamp, both rear fog lamps at two sides are
always on.

Diagnosis Procedure
62

1. Check the short circuit to the power supply of the harness

(a). Turn rear fog lamp switch off.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
between No. 1 terminal of connector N02,
No. 1 terminal of connector N05 and the
grounding.
Standard voltage: (check whether there is
a short circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
N02(1) - Grounding 0V

N05(1) - Grounding 0V

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 2.
No >Repair harness short circuit to the power supply between connector C56 to N02, C56.

2. Check Rear Fog Lamp Switch

(a). Disconnect combination switch connector C16.

(b). Turn off rear fog lamp switch, use a
multimeter to measure that No. 7 terminal
and No. 7 terminal of rear fog lamp switch
shall not be existed.

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 3.
No >Replace the rear fog lamp switch.
