62-360 DIAGNOSIS-LIGHTING SYSTEM
Symptom description:
Press the brake pedal, the stop lamp at one side doesn't turn on, but the other side is
normal.
△ PROMPT:
Take LR stop lamp as the example, use the same method to check RR stop lamp and
high-mounted lamp.
Diagnosis Procedure
1. Check high-mounted stop lamp bulb
(a). Check if the LR and RR combination lamp connectors are loose and falling off.
(b). Remove LR and RR stop lamp bulb.
(c). Connect the positive and negative
electrode of bulb into the positive
and negative electrode of the battery,
respectively,to check if the bulb will light
up.
Is the result normal?
Yes>To step 2.
No >Replace the bulb.
2. Check the harness disconnection
(a). Disconnect connector LR combination lamp D52 and driving stop lamp switch C09.
(b). Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between No. 2 terminal of connector C09
and No. 4 terminal of connector D52.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)
Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
C09(2) - D52(4) ≤ 2 Ω
Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 3.
No >Repair the harness disconnection between connector C09 and D52.
