DIAGNOSIS-LIGHTING SYSTEM                               62-363

                 Symptom Description:
                 Press the brake pedal, neither stop lamp and high-mounted stop lamp at two sides turns on.


                 Diagnosis Procedure


                 1.     Check the fuse                                                                              62


                 (a).   Ignition switch:"LOCK".
                 (b).   Open interior fuse box cover.
                 (c).    Take out stop lamp fuse F4 (7.5A).
                     NOTICE:
                 A special fuse puller is required for removing the fuse. It shall not be directly pulled out by
                 hand, which will damage the fuse easily.


                                                            (d).   Check if the middle fuse wire of stop lamp
                                                                   fuse F4 (7.5A) is fusing.
                     Disconnect            Normal

                 Check if the fuse is fusing.
                 Yes>Replace the fuse.
                     NOTICE:
                 While replacing the fuse, be sure to replace it with a fuse of the equal ampere rating value.
                 The stop lamp fuse value of this vehicle type is 7.5A.


                 2.     Check high-mounted stop lamp bulb


                 (a).   Check if the LR and RR combination lamp and high-mounted stop lamp connectors
                        are loose and falling off.
                 (b).   Remove LR and RR combination lamp stop lamp and high-mounted stop lamp bulb.


                                                            (c).   Connect the positive and negative
                                                                   electrode  of  bulb  into  the  positive
                                                                   and negative electrode of the battery,
                                                                   respectively to check if the bulb will light
                                                                   up.
