SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM - DRIVER AIRBAG 62-7

(d) Turn over the driver airbag assembly.
(e) Disconnect the airbag harness connector and
horn harness connector.
(f) Remove the driver airbag assembly.

• Do not drag the airbag harness during
operation.
• Do not disassemble the driver airbag
assembly.

• Store the driver airbag assembly so that
it faces upward, free of any load.

5 . Check the driver airbag assembly.
(a) Perform a visual check for cuts, cracks or
discolouration on the surface of the driver
airbag assembly.

6 . Install the driver airbag assembly.
(a) Connect the airbag harness connector and
horn harness connector.

WARNING

• Never use any SRS part removed from

another vehicle. If replacement is required,
be sure to use new spare parts.
• If the driver airbag assembly has been
dropped, or there are cracks, dents or

other faults on the housing, replace it with
a new one.
• Do not drag the airbag harness and make
sure there is no constraint between the
harness and the nearby parts.

NOTICE
If hear a click, the connector is connected
completely.
