(c) Press the trigger and check whether the
indicator lamp is on.
Standard: On

NOTICE

If the indicator lamp is already on before the

trigger is pressed, do not use it because the tool
might be broken.

3 . Dispose the driver airbag assembly.

WARNING

• When disposing the driver airbag assembly, never use the customer’s vehicle
to deploy the airbag.
• Deploy the airbag in the following steps.

(a) Prepare a battery as the power supply of airbag deployment.
(b) Remove the driver airbag assembly. (Refer to “Chapter 62. Supplemental restraint
system - driver airbag assembly, replacement”)

(c) Tighten 2 bolts into the holes in the driver
airbag assembly.

WARNING

• Tighten the bolts by hand.
• Do not tighten the bolts too much.
• The bolts should be long enough.

(d) Connect the tool to the driver airbag
assembly.
