REMOVAL AND INSTALLTING

1. Remove the front cover
(a). Remove the engine oil dipstick tube unit.

(b). Remove the engine front mounting bracket
(for the horizontal engine).
•Remove these 3 engine front mounting
bracket fixing bolts (arrow direction) and
the engine front mounting bracket.

(c). Remove the shock-absorbing pulley unit (for the longitudinal engine).
(d). Remove the shock-absorbing pulley unit (for the horizontal engine).

(e). Remove the belt tensioner subassembly.
•Remove these 2 belt tensioner unit
fixing bolts (arrow direction) and the belt
tensioner subassembly.

(f). Remove the front cover

PROMPT:
•If the removal is difficult, use a rubber hammer to

slowly knock the cover.
