Despite these efforts, including legal quotas and
initiatives like SEP, unemployment among PWDs
remains high. This is partly due to discriminatory
hiring practices that continue to erect barriers.
Businesses can address these challenges by:
            1. Crafting Inclusive Hiring Processes:
               Developing recruitment strategies that are
               welcoming to individuals with disabilities,
               including clear, skills-based job descriptions
               and accessible application processes.
            2. Modifying Workplaces: Implementing
               physical and technological adaptations to
ensure that the workplace is accessible, such
as installing ramps, adapting restrooms, or
               providing specialised software.
            3. Offering Flexible Work Arrangements:
Allowing for varied work schedules and
remote work options to accommodate the
unique needs of employees with disabilities.

            4. Creating a Universally Accessible
Environment: By fostering an inclusive and
               comfortable workplace, businesses can
improve the work experience for everyone.
            5. Developing a Culture of Inclusion: Ensuring
that all employees, including those with
               disabilities, feel comfortable expressing their
needs and concerns, creating an inclusive
               corporate culture.

Hiring individuals with differing abilities is
not just about legal compliance—it is a strategic
investment in building a stronger, more innovative
workforce. By leveraging diverse perspectives and
talents, businesses can unlock new possibilities
