             Chumash, “Orchard of Delights.” I wish you the greatest success
             in the publication and distribution of the book. May it find all of

             HaShem and His Torah, to serve Him with joy.

                The Orchard, the PaRDeS  (the origin  of  the English word

             “paradise” and very close to “paradox”), is an acronym for the
             four levels of Torah interpretation (peshat, remez, derash, sod),
             as you explain in the introduction to the book. The gematria of
             Pardes, 344, equals four times eighty-six, meaning that the average
             value of  the four  letters (representing the four  levels of  Torah
             interpretation) equals eighty-six, the  value of HaShem’s  Name
             Elokim, the Name that appears in the first account of Creation in
 This Book is dedicated    the Torah (in the six days of creation the Name Elokim appears
 to a very special soul    thirty-two times, alluding to the thirty-two wondrous pathways
             of wisdom with which HaShem created the world).

             “vessel,” implying  that Elokim is the vessel of  Havayah.  The
 Shira Rachma    Name Elokim depicts HaShem’s manifestation in nature, while

 bat Alter Natan Nata   Havayah depicts  His supernatural revelation. Experiencing
 v’Ahuva     HaShem in nature is the means to know Him above nature, in His
             essential transcendence.
