 th
corpse, a mitzvah in which one has a great obligation to become
involved, as imposed by the Torah. Even the Kohein Gadol or
a Nazir (who normally are forbidden to defile themselves) must
become involved with this mitzvah so that the corpse will not 'ז קרֶֶפּ
be left (unattended) in disgrace. And all the more so when the
words of Hashem Yitbarach are laying in disgrace since no one
 cares for them. (Emphatically) How very great is the obligation .
 to love and embrace them and not violate them.
as one expresses his concern for the honor of HaKadosh Baruch .
Hu, that His mitzvot should not be left in a state of disgrace and
neglect, so too will HaKadosh Baruch Hu preserve the honor of
this person both in this world and in Olam Haba, as the pasuk
 states (Shemuel I 2:30) “I will honor those who honor Me.”

 Even though harboring baseless hatred in one’s heart is a Lav and
 one is obligated to uproot that hatred from one’s heart (mind), still, ,תוְֹצִמַּה לֹע תַלָבּקַ אוּהֶשׁ ,"םֶכְשְׁפַנ לַעְו םֶכְבַבְל לַע
it is well known that as one disciplines oneself against speaking
 (negatively), over a period of time that discipline becomes a great
help in uprooting that hatred. (By way of an analogy) It is just
like a burning fire that is confined to a pot without any room
to expand; that fire will extinguish itself very quickly.
would not be the case if one continued to speak on this subject
 (and continued to express his hatred), his sense of hatred would

 [ 10 ] {Sanctifying Gd’s Name} The pasuk states (Yirmiyah

 the Earth, says Hashem?!”
Tanchumah Va’era 9 and Naso 4) explain this pasuk as if it did
 not say “I will see him” but rather “I will show him” (to others)
[‘Areinu’ instead of ‘Ereinu’]. For example, if a man sleeps .
with a woman in secret and says “who will see me and who will
know what I am doing?” HaKadosh Baruch Hu says, “I will
 demonstrate to society what this man did.” How?

everyone will know that this child is his son. But the opposite is
also true. If one learns Torah secretly, even though he does not
