 perashat Ki Teh’tze is contained the subject of slander (Devarim ויָתוֹרוֹדּ לָכְל הֶזָבּ הֶכוֹזְו ,הרָוֹתַּבּ בוּתָכַּכּ ,לֵארְָשִׂי שׁיִא

 did to Miryam (Devarim 24:9).” There are other Laveen such
 as the ones regarding Korach and his supporters (mitzvot which בֵשׁוֹיַּה ,וירֲָחַא םיִאָבַּה ויָתוֹרוֹדְלוּ וֹל הֶכוֹז הָיָה ,הּרְָמַּשְׁמ

lest you forget Hashem your Gd,” (Devarim 8:11) which is a
 specific warning to those who are haughty, as the gemara explains

 perashat Kedoshim. Even one who lies in a general sense violates
the Lav of “Stay far away from a lie” (Shemot 23:7). There are
 two other profound prohibitions that are conditional on one’s

 perashat Ki Tavoh “Cursed is the one who secretly hits his fellow טוֹל תַבֶּשׁ .

well known that all of the curses of the Torah are preceded by
 blessings and the Jewish Nation proclaimed “Blessed is the one :)'ט 'ב םירִָבְדּ( הֶז רַחַא םיִנָשׁ תוֹאֵמ הָמַּכּ הֶשֹׁמְל אוּה ךְוּרָבּ

 this regard will receive (Gd’s) blessing. .)

 in perashat Ki Tavo (4) relates that Rebbe Levi said it was ,לֵארְָשִׂי שׁיִא ןֵכֶּשׁ לָכֶּשׁ דֹמְלִל לַכוּנ הֶזִּמ .
