stands on. The most important of all is the Nefesh, which gives
               him his expression of speech. Man was brought into this world
               only for that reason, that with it (with his ability to speak) man
can praise Hashem Yitbarach and study His Torah, as the pasuk
               states (Eyov 5:7) “man was created to toil.”

to learn Torah. All of man’s other limbs which carry out bodily
               functions exist only to support this effort. But because of our

the thoughts of man’s Nefesh and his expressions of speech are
               devoted to various aspects of eating and dressing himself (i.e., ,וֹרֵבֲח לַע בוֹט רֵבּדְַמ אוּהֶשׁ םָדָא ָתיִארָ םִא ,"ןוֹצרָ שֵׁקַּבְי

               homes. The lesson to be learned from this focus on materialism
is that the Nefesh services all of the organs of the body. But that
               is just the opposite of its intended function. Man is obligated to

his speech has been appropriate, meaning that a majority of his
               speech should be devoted to service to Hashem, to the observance
of mitzvot and to learning His Torah. David HaMelech taught
               this concept when he wrote in Tehilim (119:97) “How much have רָהְזִנַּל טרְָפִבוּ ,ערָָה ןוֹשָׁל תַלָבּקַ ןַיְנִעֵמ רָהְזִנַּל רָכָָ ּשַּׂה לדֶֹּג
I loved Your Torah, throughout the day it is my conversation.”
But one who does just the opposite is the embodiment of the
