          METHODOLOGY

This study employs qualitative content analysis to explore the hedonic well-
being of event goers at the Cheung Chau Bun Festival and Hong Kong Rugby
Sevens. Data were collected from video news reports (TVB News, Scoop,
HOY TV, HKCNA), video newspaper features (SCMP), participant reviews
(Tripadvisor, Trip.com), and academic literature (2015–2025). Cantonese video
content was transcribed and translated into English. Data were systematically
coded to identify themes of relaxation, comfort, pleasure, and fun, following
Krippendorff (2018) and Schreier (2012). Comparative analysis examined how
event type influences attendees’ subjective experiences.

          FINDINGS ABOUT THE INVESTIGATOR
