FELIX may even change the way financial advisors do business as they may look to drive online traffic
via FELIX rather than use a face to face meeting with an adviser, or the adviser may be present only by
phone, on line.
FELIX is a major differentiator from the Ascot Group and adds significantly more value to financial
advisers in comparison to other offshore life companies.
Ascot International – a Bermuda Funds
Alternative
The Ascot International funds will offer a ‘low cost’ option, offering an initially limited range of
underlying funds utilising a cell structure based in Bermuda. These investments will not offer the
protection or compensation of the Isle of Man life products but are designed to introduce investors to
the international market. They may also be utilised where the structure of the insurance offering is
not permitted in the local market.
The products used to access these funds will be based on the insurance products. This will ensure
costs in the development of the administration system are kept to a minimum. The intention will be
to launch these as soon after the life company launch as practicable.
Future Ascot Group Product Developments
The initial suite of products will be the Ascot Life International Savings Plan and the Elite Single
Premium Policy, both offering links only to internal funds and 101% life cover, plus a variation of these
products for use by Ascot Distribution (FE).
It is intended to follow these up very soon after the initial launch with a Capital Redemption Bond
version of each, to appeal to the corporate and trust market, and our own suite of trusts and
foundations to offer additional security.
Further variations of the initial products will be released by Ascot Life to include an option on the single
premium policy to access open market funds (subject to certain conditions), and in due course, a full
portfolio bond with the ability to appoint a discretionary manager.
Developments in Crypto Currency are being closely monitored, with plans to develop policies and funds
in a range of crypto currencies. Allied to this will be Ascot’s own Crypto Exchange.
Other plans on the horizon include the launch/partnership with a banking operation to link
international banking systems to our portfolio of products making us truly the ‘one stop shop’ for all
your financial needs.
