Increase in Product Quality 1. The profiling of chemical constituents in agarwood oil will prove
the integrity of the oil and therefore boost its value in the global
market
2. Increase the quality and quantity of essential oils by pre-treatment
techniques to reduce the processing time and cost.
3. Gaharu leaves are used as an antioxidant that can increase the
added value and benefits of gaharu leaves, for example, the pro-
duction of agarwood tea.
4. The value added of gaharu-based product is increased and all
parts of the gaharu plants can be maximized.
5. The production of gaharu oil by entrepreneurs can be increased.
6. Gaharu industry is also expected to enhance the economy of Ma-
laysia.
