IMPLEMENTATION OF
     PROJECT

          Activities 1. Phase 1: Knowledge transfer for the staff of ch biotech sdn bhd via training/workshop including theo-
          Conducted          retical and practical exercises on oPA characterization and analysis;
                           2. Phase 2: Knowledge transfer for the staff of ch biotech sdn bhd staff via training/workshop including
                             theoretical and practical exercises on zeolites synthesis from oPA; and
                           3. Phase 3: Knowledge transfer for the staff of ch biotech sdn bhd staff via training/workshop including
                             theoretical and practical exercises on zeolites morphology analysis from synthesized oPA and intro-
                             duction on standard operation procedure for the analysis equipment used.

          Output
          Industry 1. Enhancement of knowledge of the staff of ch biotech sdn bhd on oPA characterization and analysis
                             using XRD, fTIR, fEsEM, bET, DTA-TGA and XRf. The ch biotech sdn bhd staff has acquired knowledge
                             on analysis equipment and procedure for identification of the composition, morphology, etc. from
                             solid waste oPA as potential zeolite’s feedstock;
                           2. Incorporation of knowledge of the staff of ch biotech sdn bhd on zeolite’s synthesis using
                              hydrothermal techniques; and
                           3. Enhancement of knowledge of the staff of ch biotech sdn bhd on zeolite’s morphology analysis from
                             synthesized oPA, and operation procedure for the used analysis equipment.

          Public Higher    1.  Establishment and strengthening of network between university and industry;
          Learning Institute 2. Enhance the expertise of university’s researchers on characterization and morphology analysis of
                             oPA;
                           3. Enhanced the expertise of university’s researchers on characterization and morphology analysis of
                             zeolites;
                           4. Derivation of new Intellectual Property (IP) of which the process and analysis results of oPA from ch
                             biotech sdn bhd containing zeolites feedstock can be proposed for patent;
                           5. characterization and morphology analysis results of oPA can be compiled and journal can be
                              published. Therefore, the civil and scientific society can strengthen their knowledge by referring the
                             journal;
                           6. Proved that hydrothermal techniques can be used as a simple methods for zeolites synthesis.
                                                                                                                 02
                              Therefore, effects of process parameters on the zeolites synthesis can be found, and its data can be 73
                             shared via articles for journal publication;
                           7.  forge collaboration between university and industry;
                           8. Improvement of staff expertise directory of oPA utilization; and
                           9. Improvement of staff expertise directory of zeolites analysis.
                           1. Post graduate students (2 Master students): Specialised in research and development in the field of
          Human Capital solid waste (oPA) - Treatment and recycling:
          Development a) Thesis submitted and awaiting for Pre-viva and viva voce; and
                               b) Draft of thesis submitted - under revision for Pre-viva and viva voce.
                           2. Two (2) bachelor Degree students graduated in research area relates with the oPA recycling i.e. solid
                             waste recycling and utilization.
