4.2.2.1 Age requirements

A requirement for being issued an N-BEG certificate is that you are at least 15

years of age. You can take the test 3 months before your 15th birthday.

A requirement for being issued a BEG certificate is that you have reached the
age of 16. You can take the test 3 months before your 16th birthday.

4.2.2.2 Confidentiality declaration

In connection with the test, you must sign a confidentiality declaration.

4.2.2.3 Maintenance of the certificate

The certificate is valid forever and does not have to be maintained. However,

you must have a valid language test to exercise the right. A 6 in language level is

valid forever. A 5 requires a new language test every 6 years. A 4 every 4 years.

4.2.2.4 Service documents

The following documents must be carried in connection with the use of a radio

station:

1. Permit to establish and operate the station

2. Radio operator's radio certificate
3. Aircraft Journey Logbook

4. Frequency list

5. Other documents deemed necessary for the performance of the service at

the radio.
