As before, we have set the variation to 2°E.
The figure here shows the
relationship between track and
heading for the route from EKHG →
EKSD.
Once you have placed the 3
different North references, it is easy
to understand the task.
But without a small sketch (such as the one on the previous page) it can be
difficult.
When calculating TT – MT – CT or TH – MH – CH, remember not to mix up the
values - we are either talking about tracks (T) or headings (H).
These can both be specified in 3 ways:
- true values in relation to true north
- magnetic values in relation to magnetic north
- compass values in relation to compass north
We will try the help method "Can Dead Mice Look Sad" for tracks and headings
on the leg to EKSD.
