P. 9

There are lots of positive aspects to look forward to in the future, as we learn to work and live in the
Green Economy, the foundation of which will be discovered in the Technological Age which is already
         upon us.
         Creating Successful Organisation

To eliminate waste in capital and business inputs, organisations will be required to plan their
operations better. They will need to ensure that all aspects of financial, marketing, operations, legal
and human resources management are clearly and purposely defined.

Entrepreneurs... those elusive business minded and creative people, will be guided by society to
“invent” new efficient and effective solutions. In a current day situation, entrepreneurs are seldom
guided by society needs and norms, their passions and desires come through individually inspired
opportunities to improve process, cut out middlemen, and derive profit.

Profit generated by organisations in the future will largely be fed back into discovering new and
better customer satisfaction solutions, social and environmental initiatives, improved technology and
invested in making the difference to the human condition, rather than being held by the few, to be
squandered on and spent on excessive material possessions.

Society will demand transparency and will reward those who help to ensure a Green Economy prevails,
and that organisations, employment structures, and stakeholder values are fair and sustainable.
Organisational hierarchies will evolve into flatter structures, with each person understanding the
organisation’s desired outcomes, its contribution to society, how the business maintains its financial
sustainability, how the organisations collective actions impact on stakeholders, and how staff
                                                                                                                 7
members’ Zone of Influence contributes to the successful operational outcomes of the organisation
         – as defined in the organisation’s processes and procedures.
