BUSINESS AND

                     BUSINESS LEADERSHIP

usiness Leaders’ first responsibility to stakeholders is to create sustainable organisations,
and they do this through ensuring work environments are clearly defined and that staff have
Ba sense of involvement and belonging.

It is not possible for business leaders to do everything themselves; they need their staff and teams
to support the organisation’s mission and vision, and to collectively achieve output expectations.
The mission of business leaders is therefore to create sustainable organisations, and they do this
through ensuring solid functional foundations and engaged work environments.

The vision is the business’s purpose – its reason for existence. How it serves its’ customers and
                     supports humanity.

                     Businesses have two distinct aspects:
                     1. Purpose

The Entrepreneur or Business Leader is responsible for formulating and endorsing the purpose of
the business. This sometimes-intangible motivation may be grouped under the following headings:

                        ƒ Idea
                        ƒ Value proposition
ƒ Contribution to society and the economy
ƒ Aligning cultural norms to modern society
                        ƒ Purpose and passion

                        ƒ Strategy
      10 ƒ Core competency
                        ƒ Creating engaging work environment
