2. The Business Structure
The Business structure supports the purpose of the
organisation and encompasses the following broad
action areas:
Defining the organisation's specific target market
Meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction levels
Ensuring a solid and intergrated functional area
foundation for the business
Ensuring financial measures, hurdle rates, and
shareholder/funder values are clear and considered
Ensuring operational efficiencies
Engagement, staffing and capacity development
Licensing and legal requirements
Reporting and compliance
Sustainability as specific and desired outcome of
doing business
Meeting all stakeholder expectations
Considering the organisations' effect on the
environment and on humanity
Maintaining effective and ethical governance standards
The aim in identifying each of the components of successful
organisations, is to help entrepreneurs, business leaders
and their teams to better understand all that is involved in
managing a business, and to give focus to different business
needs as the organisation grows and develops.
