LANGUAGE OF SOUL
A sudden lightning in the sky,
But the air is clear, no thunder cry.
Shimmering and shining like an orb
A saucer from an unknown world,
Making my thoughts blurred
An extra-terrestrial intelligence perhaps
In front of my house did prolapse
Left me in bewilderment
In confused, shocked amusement.
Cautiously towards it I set foot.
Out of the orb, a strange creature stood
Puzzled and perplexed it looked into my eyes
Science of his land was defied!
But how to talk? How to communicate?
Sign language ? Répondez Sil vous plait
Well did he not, nor did he?
Shook his leg for me to see!
I tried English, German, French and Latin
He looked at me as though I’d committed a sin
Few minutes passed in absolute silence
When out of the corner of his mouth came a
smile.
I smiled back at him, ending a tense.
But it did make sense!

ADITI’S LOVE LETTER TO DPSBN THE DAY AFTER
GRADUATION
Dear DPS North,
Some would look at you and call you a campus or a school, but to me you're a living
breathing entity and my best friend. I remember how as a yellow-collared 4-year-old
in LKG I cried on my first day because I wanted to go home. 14 years later, I'm crying
for home again, but this time I mean you. You and I have come such a long way. I've
seen you when you were two buildings and a muddy ground, and I've seen you now as
the most beautiful campus I can imagine. I've seen you have one science lab with a
skeleton in the corner and some weird mushy things in liquids, and I've seen you have
three separate labs for the sciences (7 if you include computers). Conversely, you've
seen me go from a shy, PE-teacher hating 4 year old, to a cocky standoffish 10 year
old, to all I am today. And now that we've seen so much together, there's no two ways
about it- you'll stay in my heart and mind and I hope I'll stay in yours, from back
when our senior building was a bunch of trees, till forever. This is for you, you looked
so beautiful last night.
Thanking You ADITI RAMAKRISHNAN XII-B
