Other items needed are: personal care items, laundry and other soaps,

Each year as November rolls around the Durand Ecumenical Council asks your help
in donating, sorting, and delivering the many boxes of food we distribute during the
Thanksgiving Food Drive. It is amazing to see the wonderful response we get from
the good people of Durand. We see the young, the seniors, and families all willing to
pitch in to see that those less fortunate get a helping hand setting their table for the
         Thanksgiving meal.

This year we will be needing your help on Saturday, November 17th. It will be
9:00am for those sorting and 9:30am for those willing to make deliveries. As usual we
will be doing all of this at the Durand United Methodist Church.

Each year a meat voucher is given to each family. The vouchers are for $20, $25
and $35 depending on the number of family members. This is paid for by the Ecu-
         menical Council.

Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate what you have been given. A time to say "God
has been good to me". It is also a time to realize that not everyone has been so
blessed. With that in mind, the Council is asking that you bring a little extra to add to
our food items, lend a helping hand if you are able, but most of all pray for those less
         fortunate.

         HAPPY THANKGIVING TO ALL!!!
