2.1 Category A:
a- Correspondence∗:
The letters, which a person sends and receives specially
business letters. It is the communication that depends on
utilising letters or e-mails, or the letters or e-mails
exchanged.
• Examples:
- The secretary needs an hour to answer this business
correspondence.
- Any further correspondence should be sent to the new
address of the travel agent's.
b- A communication "Formal": a message or a letter.
• Examples:
- I received your communication of 22nd of January.
c- A note: a short piece of writing.
∗ The noun correspondence can be countable or uncountable. The plural form will also
be correspondence. However, in more specific contexts, the plural form can also be
correspondences.
