Part 2: Important Definitions in Business Correspondence

   o- A memorandum∗ "Formal" = A memo∗: a short written
       report prepared specially for a person or group of people,
       which contains information about a particular matter. It is
       commonly utilised for internal communication in business.
       It is a message or other information in writing sent by one
       person or department to another in the same business
       organisation, or to another department in another business
       organisation.

   • Examples:
   - Steve has endorsed a resolution on your memorandum.
   - There is a memo from the manager to all heads of

       departments.

   p- A letter of motivation = A motivation letter: A letter that
       is sent to a university or a company to explain why
       someone is the perfect candidate for the position by
       instancing his/her interests and achievements. It is usually
       attached to the CV.

   • Example:
   - The letter of motivation of our last candidate includes a

       real progress in her academic life.
