From Sickness to Fitness

I had a wonderful childhood, my trips

through Europe and Asia seem to be divinely

protected and guided, but this all changed
when I landed in New York.

My life made a 180-degree turn.

I was raped by the taxi driver who took me

from the airport to the hotel. My job did not

materialize, and my co-workers stole my
money.

I was not prepared for an abusive marriage.

It had started in a cult, where women had to
submit to their husbands, unto death.

I was terrified that “God”

would punish me for every
negative thought I had toward

the situation I found myself in.

Finally, the abuse and isolation got to me. I

fell into a depression, and ended up

bedridden, in severe physical pain, with
panic attacks and hallucinations.
