No medical doctor was called; they did not
have a place in this cult. Jesus was the
healer, period!
Weak and unable to get up, I gave up on life.
My oldest daughter, ten years old at the
time, took care of her five younger siblings.
The father was rarely present. I made my
peace with God, and waited to die.
It did not happen. Bill, our neighbor, brought
us a video he had recorded from a TV
program: Healing and the Mind, with Bill
Moyer.
It was interesting, but “too late for me.” I
knew I was dying.
