3. The Outcomes
“Structure follows processes follows strategy”- this maxim by Alfred D. Chandler jr.
outlines the approach and achievements of the FAT EU organisation, that are
described below.
3.1 FAT process landscape
Based on the FAT strategy, a total of twelve steps were defined, which represent the
offered product and service mix along the entire value chain. Based on this cascade
model and taking into account the ISO 9001:2015 standard, the FAT process
landscape was derived, which represents a total of 26 core processes.

3.2 Organizational structure
3.2.1. Overall structure
Based on defined twelve steps of value creation in the cascade model, the structures
necessary for the FAT organization were defined. The overall structure is shown in
the following figure and is characterized by the following core elements:
