P. 15

Most scholars believe that when Adam and Eve walked
in the Garden of Eden, they walked under the spiritual
covering of the Word of God. The entrance of God’s Word
covered them internally with light and life. The light was
so beautiful that they were not self-conscious but only God
conscious. God walked with them and talked with them.
They were walking in the light of Jesus and His words
were covering them with light and life for their soul. Every
morning in the cool of the day, God came to teach them His
Word and instructions. This word of God clothed them and
       covered them.
It’s interesting that when Jesus was on this earth, it is
recorded in Isaiah 50:6 that God, the Father awoke Jesus up
every morning in order to give Him a fresh revelation of His
purpose through the Word - “Morning by morning He (God)
awakens me (CHRIST) to listen as a disciple…”
Jesus was taught categorical doctrine by God the Father, from
the time He was a little child. He had no outside teacher. The
Father woke Him each morning and taught Him doctrine in
his humanity 7 days a week. That’s why when Satan came
to test Him, Jesus used the Word of God against him saying
       – “It is written… it is written… it is written…” Jesus showed
us that our covering was to be doctrine. In Ephesians 6, we
are told that part of our spiritual armor which we are to use
against the attacks of the enemy is “the Word of God which
is the “sword of the Spirit.”
Just as we wrap a blanket over us to keep warm, we need
to wrap doctrine around us in order to guide and protect
our minds. Remember, Satan hates the seed of God’s Word,
because it is light. He tries to snatch it away from us so that
       we will not bear fruit.
