The Kazova workers were detained on the first day of the hol-
iday. The reason for detaining them is that they wanted to read
out a press statement in front of the house of Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
They wanted to state to the prime minister that the SO-
MUNCU FAMILY, thieving bosses who had stolen four months
of wages as well as seniority and compensation from the workers
of KAZOVA TRIKOTAJ A.S. and failed to protect them should
be made to pay up.
But the workers who gathered at the Kazova resistance tent
for a press statement were put under a police blockade and they
were stopped by the police when they began to set off. The police
did not allow them to make a statement in front of the prime min-
ister’s house, and they even prevented their bus from passing to
the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
These are the sort of bans that are associated with dictators.
It is the guilty who are imposing bans and proscriptions.
They protect thieves and do not respect HUMAN RIGHTS.
The guilty are those who steal the labour of the workers.
The guilty are the police who hold hostage workers who are
resisting for their honour and what is owed them for the labour,
and who are trying to announce the justice of their cause.
