and began to resume production for themselves, Bedas suddenly
sprang into action. Two days before the action on the 100th day,
they sent a team along to cut the electricity. The workers would
not let the first team in to cut the electricity so they sent a second.
But the problem was that those they sent were sub-contracted
workers for Bedas and its minimum wage. They could not harm
workers resisting like themselves. So the second team also did not
cut the electricity. This time they attempted a midnight operation.
Bedas came at four in the morning and sought to cut the electricity
at Kazova Textile. Bedas management carried out a midnight op-
eration much like the police do. What diligence is this.
Certainly we will ask this question:
Is this diligence on the part of Bedas the result of AKP lick-
spittle and Limak Holding chief Nihat Ozdemir getting involved?
Despite such a large electricity bill not being paid, there had
not previously been an attempt to cut the electricity, was this be-
cause then sweaters had been knitted for Tayyip Erdogan?
All these things are futile. The Somuncus’ connections to the
AKP did not help them, they must still pay for the toil of their
workers. Nothing is more powerful than resistance.
