Cabbage Soup Low Carb

                 1                     onion -- chopped
                 2              clove  garlic -- minced
                 1/2             head  cabbage -- chopped
                 8             ounces  mushrooms
                 4             ounces  chili pepper, canned
                 1                can  tomatoes, canned
                 1                pkg  onion soup mix
                 2                can  nonfat chicken broth


               Cook onion, garlic and carrot in 2 to 3 tablespoons of water until onion
               is soft.  Add remaining ingredients.  Bring to a boil, cover and simmer
               for 15 minutes.
