Thousand Island Dressing

                 Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

                 1                cup  lowfat mayonnaise
                    1/4           cup  ketchup
                 2        tablespoons  white vinegar
                 1         tablespoon  sugar
                    1/4           cup  sweet pickle relish
                 1         tablespoon  white onion -- finely minced
                                       salt and pepper -- to taste

               Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.  Stir well. Refrigerate for
               several hours before using to allow flavors to blend.

               Makes 1-1/2 cups.

               NOTES : Made this for New Year's Eve 2004. Grabbed the wrong
                       vinegar and used seasoned rice vinegar. Aside from being a
                       little sweet it tastes great. Will use regular vinegar
                       next time.
