FINANCES
All employees must follow the policies and procedures established. No school-related monetary
transactions may take place without prior authorization, in writing, using the pre-approved
procedures. In addition, any money collected greater than or equal to $10 requires a receipt. All
money collections require a completed, and accurate, money recap sheet. Please ensure all student
names are on the money recap sheet regardless if no receipt was issued. All money should be turned
in to the bookkeeper by the end of the business day that it was collected. Please make sure you get
preapproval for any reimbursement in writing. Failure to comply with the pre-set policies will result
in documented administrative consequences and escalate as warranted.
FLORIDA STANDARDIZED ASSESSMENT (FSA) and END OF COURSE EXAMS (EOC)
The FSA and EOC are parts of Florida’s overall plan to increase student achievement by
implementing higher standards for public school students. The FSA and EOC is given to measure
State Standards mastery. All public school students in grades 3-10 are required by law to take the
FSA. In order to graduate from a public high school with a standard diploma in the State of Florida,
all students must pass the FSA. Retention of grade level may happen if students do not demonstrate
proficiency in FSA skills and standards. All instructors are expected to participate, collaborate in its
implementation, and to teach the skills and strategies prevalent on the FSA and EOC’s.
FLORIDA LEAD PROGRAM
Florida Teacher Lead Program Stipend Funds are appropriated by the Legislature for the sole purpose
of purchasing classroom materials and supplies to be used in the instruction of students assigned to
the employee. To be eligible for receipt of Teacher Lead Program monies an instructor must be
st
employed as a full-time instructor by September 1 of the current academic year, hold a Florida
Teaching Certificate or Florida Statement of Eligibility, and have assigned by FLDOE a Department
of Education Number. The materials purchased are to be used for classroom use and will become
school property. Teachers are required to keep receipts of how the money was spent for submission.
FOUR PERIODS A DAY (At SCPA)
Students receive four classes a semester, eight per year. The schedule is comprised of four periods a
day, Monday through Friday, broken up into 90 minutes per period, per semester. Refer to the bell
schedule, which should be posted in each classroom, visible to students.
FUNDRAISERS
Fundraiser packet needs to be completed. All fundraisers must be approved by administration before
sales or collections begin. Fundraisers with poor accountability measures will not be approved. See
treasurer with any questions.
