A registered nurse, SSonya Canzian joined St. Michael’s Hospital in 19989. Since thhen, she hass held
progressivvely senior poositions in crittical care, education and aadministratioon. Sonya is a proven leadeer and
was most recently proggram director of the Traumma/Neurosurrgery and Moobility programms.
Sonya is responsible ffor operationnal managemment of the TTrauma/Neurrosurgery, MMobility, Hearrt and

Vascular, Critical Care,, Specialized CComplex Caree and Cancerr Services proograms, and is also accounntable
for Nursinng and Healthh Disciplines pprofessional ppractice, educcation and ressearch.
Sonya is ccross‐appointed to the Uniiversity of Toronto, is a leccturer in the CCritical Care PProgram at George
Brown Coollege, Canaddian Nurses AAssociation mmentor for nneuroscience nursing certtification, national

director aand instructoor for the Addvanced Trauuma Care forr Nurses course for the SSociety of Trrauma
