Beth is a member of thhe Internatioonal Associatioon for Busineess Communicators. She studied historry and
French at the Universitty of Toronto and earned hher public rellations certification from HHumber Colleege.
Dr. Eddy LLau – chief mmedical officer (interim), Stt. Joseph’s Heealth Centre
Dr. Eddy LLau joined St. Joseph’s Heealth Centre in 2000 and hhas since playyed a key rolee in the vision and
design off its pediatric programs,, most recenntly through his role ass chief of Pediatrics. Hee was
instrumenntal in the opening of the Pediatric SSchool Outreach Clinic in partnership with the Tooronto
District Scchool Board. The clinic ooperates in PParkdale Publlic School providing suppport to familiies by
identifying and addresssing health cchallenges immpacting their children’s aacademic perrformance through
improved access to community, soccial support and health serrvices.
Dr. Lau is involved in leeadership roles on the Cannadian Paediaatric Society aand the Pediaatric Section oof the
Ontario MMedical Assocciation. He is aa member of the TARGet KKids Researchh Group Advisory Committtee at
the Hospiital for Sick CChildren and is an assistant professor oof Pedatrics at the Universsity of Torontto. He
also contiinues to run a practice inn Toronto’s wwest end commmunity provviding primaryy and consultative
care.
Dr. Lau hholds an undergraduate ddegree from the University of Torontto, a Doctor of Medicine from
Queen’s UUniversity andd completed his residencyy training in Peediatrics at thhe Hospital foor Sick Childreen.
