                6.  Explain that when the children are identifying adjectives in a sentence, they

                    should look for the noun in the sentence first then look to see which words tell
                    more about it. The adjective can be written next to the noun or elsewhere in
                    the sentence, eg The big, black dog leapt up.  The dog, which was big and
                    black, leapt up.


                    Ensure they know that adjectives can be numbers or colours.

                7.  Let the children try the worksheet or else find adjectives to describe given
                    nouns.


            Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

                1.  The children should be familiar with adjectives as words describing the noun.


                2.  They should appreciate that adjectives can be used to improve their writing.
