                                                HEALTHY HABITS

            Stewardship of my body for service

            Truth to Teach (Source)

                1.         God is whole and healthy.

                2.         God's desire is for us to be whole and healthy.

                3.         As well as being in faith for health we need to to-operate with the
                           Creator's  principles of cleanliness, developing healthy habits.

                4.         Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made to battle against germs

                           and to  repair themselves when damaged.


                5.         Being clean and in good health glorifies God, prepares the most fitting
                           ‘temple’ for the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), is helpful in serving
                           God  and others, as well as living life to the full.



            Learning for Life (Fulfilment)


                1.         That children appreciate good health as a gift from God.


                2.         That they realise how God has designed their bodies in a wonderful way,
                           and  give Him glory.

                3.         That  they  develop  healthy  habits  out  of  a  desire  to  steward  their
                           bodies  responsibly: washing hands properly, bathing, caring for teeth.

                4.         That they have an awareness of and heart for those in poorer countries
                           who  do not have a ready supply of good clean water.

            Way to Work (Means)


                           Week 1        A healthy God wants healthy children.
                           Week 2        Unseen enemies: germs

                          Week 3         Caring for my teeth
                           Week 4        Designed to be whole and healthy
                           Week 5        Good, clean water
                           Week 6        Our response
