me.” Alonzo continues, “How are things with you, Sweetheart?”
“Well, it’s always one assignment after another. And the exams keep coming
at you fast.” Just then, she glares up, acknowledges another student, and continues.
“I had an “A” in Microbiology ... “B” in A&P.”
“Fabulous, Sweetheart.”
“Thanks, Dad. Yes ... I’ve got to work harder.”
“I know the feeling. I’m proud of you ...” relates and encouraging, “... Keep up
the fabulous work, Sweetheart. Tackle your assignment as soon as you get them.”
And taking note of the time on the Jeep’s Quartz, “I know you’re about to head out for
your A&P lab. “
“Yes, Dad.”
“Let's talk more over the weekend.”
