business. Jordan opens his iPad, clicks on the Excel Files and accompanying
attachments, for their review and discussion.
“These are my recommendations and projections based from last year’s
funding authorizations by your Board.”
“What percentage of the applicants got funded?”
“Eighty-to 85-percent.”
“Wow! That high?”
“Yes, provided they meet the Foundation’s funding criteria.”
“Looks like we fund the same organizations.”
“Pretty much so …” he reaches for his padfolio. “… But you have the
discretion,” flipping through his padfolio “to fund one or two innovative program
each funding cycle. “
“It’s good to know.” “Could you identify a couple of such programs for our next
meeting?”
“Yes, I’ll be happy to make a recommendation or two.”
“Fabulous. Jordan. This is good to know.” He gets on his feet, “thank you.”
“You’re welcome, Alonzo,” getting on his feet too.
